OBJECTIVES
PROJECT GOAL
The core aim and general objective of the project SheLeads is to establish the SheLeads Network: an inclusive, intergenerational European platform that empowers young women involved in volunteering, civic engagement, or early-stage non-profit work while simultaneously fostering structured participation of non-profit organizations and civic associations. By strengthening both individual capacities and organizational networks, SheLeads responds to the need for more inclusive leadership and democratic participation across the EU. The Network will serve as a bridge between individual civic engagement and broader/structured involvement in the shaping of the European Union’s future, particularly promoting gender equality, democratic resilience and a more inclusive society.
OBJECTIVES
Strengthen Leadership Skills
SheLeads aims to support young women in developing leadership competences, confidence, and professional skills needed to take active roles in civil society organisations and community initiatives.
Encourage Civic Participation
The project promotes active participation in democratic processes and encourages young women to engage in discussions about European values, policies, and challenges.
Foster Cross-Border Cooperation
By bringing together participants from different countries, SheLeads creates opportunities for transnational dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
Connect Civic Engagement to EU Participation
SheLeads helps participants better understand European institutions, programmes, and opportunities, strengthening the link between local civic engagement and European democratic processes.
Promote Gender Equality in Leadership
The project contributes to reducing gender gaps in leadership positions by supporting women's visibility, participation, and influence in the nonprofit and civic sectors.
